Mr. Larkins

In... 1997? 1998?... during lunch at Crismon Elementary School, Mr. Larkins would let me come into the music room when he wasn't teaching another general music class and play on the classroom computer. As I remember it, I only had about 15 or 20 minutes to learn a new program he had installed... a program called Finale. I was hooked. Note by note, click by click, I was starting to learn how to write music. Or at least notate music... Impossible to gauge the importance those few minutes at lunch would have on the rest of my life.
